All-Union Festival of Amateur Artistic Activities was being held in the country from March 1986 to November 1987 dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. To date, every tenth resident of Ukraine has participated, that is five million people altogether.

Klev is one of our country’s oldest cities. And from ancient times it has been famous for its hospitality and friendship with those who come here with open hearts.

Friendly ties of Klev with the foreign countries are reflected in the historical and architectural monuments, in the names of Klev streets and squares, numerous plaques. There are streets named after Klev’s twinned cities—Bratislava, Leipzig, Cracow. The contacts between Klev and these cities have grown into true friendship and business cooperation.

Bratislava. In 1945 Soviet field-engineers, quite a few Klevites among them, put up a temporary bridge over the Danube in Bratislava. Now, a new giant bridge is built with Klev assistance.
