К сведению учителя Данный диафильм является частью комплекса аудиовизуальных пособий, предназначенных для обучения английскому языку учащихся 4 классов школ УССР. Диафильм построен на лексико-грамматическом материале учебника для 4 класса. Авторы — А. Старков, Р. Диксон, М. Рыбаков. Он может быть использован для активизации грамматических структур и лексических единиц в ситуативных упражнениях, развития навыков связного высказывания.

Построение диафильма фрагментарное. Первый фрагмент (кадры 4-6) предназначен для закрепления лексико-грамматического материала учебника, вначале в вопросно-ответных упражнениях в опоре на одну из парных ситуативных картинок, а затем — в монологических высказываниях, основанных на сравнении двух сходных картинок и нахождении различия между ними. Во втором фрагменте (кадры 7-22) поданы изобразительные ситуации для стимулирования самостоятельных высказываний учащихся с использованием изученного языкового материала. В третьем фрагменте (кадры 24-42) представлены для сюжета „Толя опоздал“ и „Где Катя?“ для связного монологического высказывания. В работе над сюжетом могут быть рекомендованы следующие упражнения: а) ответы учащихся на вопросы учителя; б) построение связного высказывания; в) расширение высказывания с добавлением деталей.

1. This is Tolya, he is a schoolboy. < He is in the fourth form, he is a pioneer. He has dark hair and grey eyes. And this ‘is’ Tolya’s sister. Her name is Olya. She doesn’t go to school, she is five. She has fair hair and blue eyes. She has a nice yellow dress on. 2. This is their room. There is a sofa, a desk, a bookcase and a bed in it. On the wall you can see a shelf and a picture. In the evening Tolya usually reads books to his little sister and her friends Katya and Sharik. 3. It’s 8.15. Tolya is having breakfast and Olya is helping her brother. She is putting textbooks and exercise-books into his schoolba

4. Now it’s 8.40. Tolya is in the schoolyard but there are no pupils there. They are at the lessons. Tolya is late. 5. And now Tolya is at the door of his classroom. The pupils are having an English lesson. “May I come in?” Tolya asks. The teacher says, “Go to your place and don’t be late again”. 6. Now Tolya is at his desk. His friend is reading the text. Tolya is taking the textbooks out of his schoolbag, but there is no English textbook there. 7. He has Olya’s book in his hand. The teacher and the pupils are looking at Tolya. His friend Victor is giving him an English textbook but the lesson is over.

1. Оля is in the yard now. She is playing with Katya and Sharik. The weather is fine. It’s warm. There are many apples in the trees. 2. Оля is giving Sharik an apple but he doesn’t eat the apple. He doesn’t like it. 3. It’s 7 o’clock. Оля’s family is at the table. They are having supper. You can see her father, her mother and her brother Tolya. Оля is drinking milk with a cake. 4. It’s 9 o’clock. Оля is in the children’s room. She must go to bed. But Оля wants to say “Good night” to Katya.” “Where is Katya?” she asks her mother.

5. Now Olya is looking under the bed. Tolya is looking in the book-case. Olya’s mother is looking behind the desk but there is no Katya there. 6. Now Olya is crying. She wants to go to bed with Katya. But where is she? 7. Now you can see Sharik. He is coming into the room with Katya in his mouth. 8. Olya is very glad. She is going to bed with Katya in her hands. Tolya says. “Thank you, Sharik!”
